I hope I never need them, but they respond to an emergency every 8 minutes. No one else does this: not the government, not other charities. From small house fires to multi-state natural disasters, they go wherever they’re needed, so people can have clean water, safe shelter and hot meals when they need them most.
You will probably never know their name, but when they die in service to their country their children are left without a mother or father who is their provider. That mom or dad put their life on the line to protect us, so let's help their kids.
Women make up half the population but only one in four of our elected officials. Our elected leaders should better reflect the makeup of our country. To achieve this goal, we will need the voices of talented young women in politics.
